Blood Drive
Notes to the Staff
We started class with a journal topic on the blood drive and then we gave them time to work on their moments. They now have been assigned to write up a specific moment each week. They also should be typing up their scoreboards in an InDesign file
I sent this out to the staff today:
Staff,
It’s that time of the year again!
The yearbook staff is looking for students with interesting stories that need to be told in the yearbook.
We need freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors.
In the past you all have been soooooo helpful in helping us discover these types of stories.
They could be about great accomplishments as well those who have overcome challenges.
Thanks for your help,
Jim
I also sent this:
We also need interesting stories about the faculty too!
Staff,
We are currently moving from the training phase to the the production phase of the 2009 Decamhian (our yearbook for any of you who are new here ).
This means that our writers and photographers will be out interviewing and gathering information. We always put way too much pressure on the fourth period teachers when students come in to interview and ask questions of specific students.
If you can help us out…great, but if you need to turn them away…please do. If we ever become a burden in ANY way, please email me and let me know.
The great support of the staff has definitely been one of the major parts of the success of our yearbook.
Thanks again,
Jim
