Week Eight: Day Thirty Seven (r3): Wednesday, October 8, 2008
Reese was here (3)

Journal topic 8, photo captioning and then the last opportunity to finish their layouts on the computer. They also spend some time brainstorming possible story ideas especially for the mugs.

Reese came but but there wasn't much for her to do. We talked about using the new mug placement pug in from Walsworth which would allow us to fully pdf the mug layouts.

We are quickly approaching the time when all training will be complete. Scary

From time to time we will have guest bloggers. Today's blogger is Kelsey Eaton, managing editor of the 2009 Decamhian.

This year is going great... well so far. Right now we're entering the awkward stage of our staff merging from training to actually working on the yearbook. Earlier this week I told them their story deadlines, which judging by their faces, I doubt they realized how soon reality was coming. Tomorrow we will have our first late night with both editors and staff. This will be so great since finally we will have others here besides Mr. J, Kim Descalso and I. Which is a good thing since I'm beginning to talk to myself more and more.

Today in class our journal was about keeping the room clean. Being somewhat of an OCD Clean Freak, I find it impossible to completely concentrate with soggy Sour Cream and Onion chips smooshed in the carpet, and just wondering what else might be in the fridge after finding Lauren Shafer's container of white fuzzy strawberries.

Our first deadline is coming up at the end of October, I'm 95% sure that we will make it! Wish us luck!
