It's Yearbook Production Season! End of Week One
The countdown is on. Only two weeks until we have pages due. (or at least due for our own deadline) We are shooting to mail pages in October for the second year in a row. I still can't believe we will make it. It's too hard with four of the editorial team involved with sports.
I spoke with my friend Katie Urban from Chantilly on Facebook and we may try to do arrange something fun between the Decamhian staff and the Odyssey staff. If you read this Katie, tell Kendall some of my students all of a sudden started saying "Can I get your number? " and I started cracking up. That was so great at GYE.
In class the editors did a good job about telling them what they needed to accomplish. Quotable Quotes, a Moment, a scoreboard in progress. Then Kelsey said they all had to be back at 2:40 to turn in what they had. A great move.
No one stayed after school and they are not coming in on Saturday. we will see when they get it all done. Still waiting to get the mugs database editor back from Walsworth.
Oh and next weekend Kate is here and it's Zoe's birthday weekend and then that next Friday is when we are supposed to sent pages. To be continued.
The Goal:
16 pages in October
50 total before Thanksgiving
120+ before the holidays.
I wonder what the Odyssey has to get in before the holidays. They obviously knoow more than I do. It's probably MKD cracking the whip!
